About Davey Jones

My name is David Jones, and yes I’m a real pirate.
Okay, maybe I just wish I were a real pirate, but who doesn’t wish that?

I escaped the corporate world.

After 20+ years, I threw caution to the wind and followed my passion, wood working…and have never looked back!

I am a Preservation Carpenter.

I attended and trained in carpentry at North Bennet Street School in Boston, MA.

Ohio is my home.

I grew up in Youngstown on the Northside, moved to Boston and then returned to my hometown after almost 30 years. What a fun ride I’ve had!

This is no hobby.

This is my profession.

I absolutely LOVE collaborating.

Especially with other local companies who are equally passionate about what they do.

I might be slightly obsessed with wood.

Sometimes I get lost in the grains of a piece I’m working on and days have gone by…okay, just minutes, but still.

I have a really awesome family.

Including a supporting wife and two awesome kids, who I’m always bragging about.

In all aspects of my life, but especially when it comes to wood.
